About the festival
A free, family festival celebrating Hispanic culture, education, and community in Melrose Park.
HispanoFest promotes the advancement of the Hispanic community through educational and leadership development. Founded in 1991, the festival celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2026 and has grown into one of the largest Hispanic family festivals in the western suburbs.
Our Mission
To celebrate the culture, music, food, and traditions of Latin America while advancing education and leadership in the Hispanic community.
Community First
The festival is free thanks to local sponsors, vendors, and volunteers. Proceeds fund scholarships for Hispanic students from surrounding suburbs.
A little history
What began as a grassroots gathering has become a three-day festival featuring 45 food exhibitors, 45 arts & crafts booths, two music stages, and a children's carnival.
Nonprofit
HispanoFest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible. We are also classified as a public charity under sections 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Volunteer with us
We're always looking for friendly faces to help with setup, hospitality, and the kids zone. Scholarship recipients also volunteer during the festival weekend.
